Our services for adults and our shelter are located at the Boccardo Reception Center (BRC), 2011 Little Orchard Street, San Jose. You can take bus lines #66 or #68 and exit at Curtner Avenue/Monterey Road. The BRC is also within walking distance of the Curtner Light Rail Station. Phone (408) 294-2100. From April through November, you may line up for nightly shelter there at 3:30 and ask for an intake to see if you qualify for one of our programs for a longer stay.
From November 30, 2015 through March 31, 2016 our Cold Weather Shelter Program will operate in San Jose (BRC), Sunnyvale, and Gilroy. The program serves men, women, and families depending on the location. Click here for more information.
If you do not qualify for one of our programs or the cold weather shelters are not operating, click here to download the City of San Jose Homeless Services flyer with a list of resources to help.
You can also call the Santa Clara County shelter hotline (1-800-774-3583) for pre-recorded information in English and Spanish on shelter availability for single men and women, families, and youth.
If you are concerned about someone who is homeless on the streets of San Jose, call (408) 510-7600 or email our outreach team. The phone number has a 24-hour voicemail. You may not receive an immediate response but all calls and requests are logged and prioritized for our outreach team.
