Gilroy residents, we're ready and open to help you during this cold weather season at the Armory until April 15, 2019!!!

HomeFirst had a successful grand opening yesterday with over 40 individuals and families registered to have a warm place to sleep last night.

Effective April 10, 2017 the Seven Trees Community Center shelter for displaced flood victims was closed. We are fortunate to have a strong partner in the City of San José, particularly the Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services, and Housing Department, to ensure high quality services. We've also been in daily contact with Mayor Sam Liccardo's office.

Cold Weather Help

The Cold Weather Shelter Program (CWSP) is open through March 2017. The program is funded by the County of Santa Clara and has been operated primarily by HomeFirst for nearly 30 years. HomeFirst will operate three shelter sites in addition to overnight warming locations in partnership with the City of San Jose.

In June 2016, HomeFirst was awarded a five-year contract through the Office of Supportive Housing of Santa Clara County to run the Cold Weather Shelter Program (CWSP) for North and South Santa Clara County. Shelter services will operate from November 28, 2016 through March 30, 2017.
