Mountain View Cold Weather Shelter

HomeFirst is pleased to announce that a family of four (a wife, husband, and two young children) recently exited our Mountain View Shelter to permanent housing! The family, which stayed at our shelter for one week before finding a place to live, was committed to securing income and moving out. Every day, the father would search for work. Within five days he found employment, and within a week he secured housing for his family.

The Mountain View Shelter is a seasonal winter shelter, operating between late November and late March. The site, which serves women and families, provides individuals with a warm place to sleep, in addition to bathrooms, showers, two meals daily, and case management. The shelter is typically at or near full capacity: it has 30 beds, 14 of which are currently occupied by children.
