Introducing Emergency Interim Housing!

We are proud to be the service provider for two of the City of San Jose's recently opened Emergency Interim Housing (EIH) sites at Bernal (for adults) and Rue Ferrari (for single adults and couples).

EIH is an innovative concept created in rapid response to significant threats posed by the COVID-19 to our community – and especially to the nearly 10,000 homeless men, women and children in our County.

HomeFirst is greatly indebted to the Sobrato Family Foundation for many years of support for our vision of ending homelessness in Santa Clara County. The impact the Sobrato Family Foundation continues to have on our community is embodied in their guiding principles:

Our Guiding Principles, Vision for Success, and Financials in support of the values of the Sobrato Family:

  • We seek to empower low‐income, underserved, and at-risk populations that are experiencing language, economic, and other barriers to opportunity.

  • We strive for lasting change in the communities we serve, as we also help people meet their basic needs.

  • We make strategic investments in effective organizations striving to create sustainable impact.
