Home Is Where the Art Isβ
β
Home Is Where the Art Is is a transformative artmaking workshop series for people in our Emergency Interim Housing communities in San Jose. The twice weekly workshops are led by local professional artists and invite people to explore themes of belonging, creativity, and the meaning of home. Through painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, and drawing, program participants get to tap into their own stories through art.
β
The series culminates in a public exhibition featuring over 60 original works, and 100% of the art sales go directly to the artists. Now in its fourth year, the showcase will be part of the SubZERO Festival on June 5th, 5–8pm, at Open San José (38 S. Second Street, San Jose, CA 95113).
β
Please join us for an evening supporting hope, housing, and the healing power of self-expression.
