Every year, HomeFirst hosts a therapeutic art-making workshop series facilitated by local artists to give residents at our participating shelters or interim housing sites an opportunity to learn new artistic skills, build connections and community, and pursue creative outlets while they work on pursuing their permanent housing goals.

 

Since art-making can improve individuals' physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological health and/or well-being, Home Is Where the Art Is has become a staple program that propels HomeFirst's mission to help our residents find a home, improve their lives, and stay housed. ​​
