Bring Your Team Together.
Build Kits. Change Lives.

What Is A Kit?
A kit is a thoughtfully curated package of essential items designed to meet immediate needs and bring comfort, dignity, and hope to the people we serve.
- Hygiene Kits restore dignity with everyday essentials.
- Inclement Weather Kits protect during extreme heat and cold.
- Pet Kits care for the animal companions people rely on.
- Custom Kits respond to urgent and emerging needs.
You can inspire hope and change lives by hosting a Kit Build.
Our Outreach teams use these kits as a critical first point of contact for people living outside. They help meet immediate needs, build trust, and open the door to relationships that make it easier to accept services. Kits are also distributed at our Emergency Interim Housing sites, supporting individuals as they begin their journey back to permanent housing.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of organizations large and small, we assembled 14,300 essential kits.
Each kit included items like:
- Shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion
- Beanies, socks, and mittens
- Rain ponchos and emergency blankets
- Sunscreen
- Pet food and toys

Hosting A Kit Build Is As Easy As...

2
Connect
A coordinator will reach out to help you choose your kit type and walk you through the details. Then, gather your team — friends, coworkers, or community members — and get ready to make an impact together.
3
Build
We bring all the supplies, set up everything, and guide the process. You just show up and build the kits — providing warmth, hope, and support for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
A Kit Build brings people together—your ERG, team, Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop, friend group, or faith-based community—to assemble essential items for people experiencing homelessness.
