San José has opened a tiny-home village on land leased from Valley Water, offering private bathrooms, laundry facilities, and shared outdoor space. Funded with $18.3 million from state, city, and philanthropic sources, the site will be managed by HomeFirst, which will also provide case management, security, meals, and support services. The lease runs through December 2035, with an option to extend.
